Skye | 1.5 years old | Spayed Female

Meet the beautiful, Skye!! This girl is spayed, potty trained and up to date on her vaccinations. Skye is a huge sweetheart! She is loving, playful and an overall good girl. She enjoys a good game of tug-o-war or catch. She loves to be outdoors and will be happy to go on as many adventures that you'll take her on.

She is spunky and full of typical husky energy. A fenced in yard is a must for her. She is potty trained and knows basic commands. She prefers to be with her humans more often than not, but she is well behaved when her humans have to leave for a bit. She does well with kids and currently resides with teenagers. She plays well with other dogs and has not had any exposure to cats, so we are unsure how she would act with them. She is a great companion and when it's time to rest after a day full of adventures, she will snuggle up close to you and rest the night away.

Skye's ideal home should have plenty of time to spend with her, going on walks and adventures and should not plan to need to use a kennel with her because she does not like being in them.

Apostle | 4 months old | Male

For the record, pictures make this little peanut look way bigger than he actually is. Apostle is a tiny little guy! Weighing in at approximately 7 pounds currently. Despite his tiny stature, he has a giant, amazing personality. He is incredibly intelligent, curious and observant.

Apostle is happy to be held like a baby for hours and thoroughly enjoys a good belly rub. He loves to play with dog toys, especially the squeaky ones. He is fabulous with other animals, including cats. He has been around small and large dogs and does great. He really loves to play with the children in his foster home and will play "tag" until the kids give up. Apostle does great in a kennel and currently sleeps through the night. He is working hard on potty training, and leash training. He is highly food motivated and will master any trick for a piece of bacon.

Mimi (aka Grandma) | Senior | Female

Meet Mimi! She is a Shih Tzu and Her exact age is unknown. She is approximately 7 pounds. Mimi was found wandering the streets with nails so long that they were curled into her paws and hair so matted and long that she couldn't see. She absolutely could not be left in a cold, loud shelter. So, we got her into a loving foster home. Got her to the groomer and got her feeling better. She scared us for the first few days because it was a struggle to get her to eat. (despite her age, she still prefers dry dog food) Then, all of a sudden, she decided she felt comfortable enough to eat, drink and nap most of the days away.

Mimi uses potty pads in the house and is not the right dog for you if you want a dog who will go on walks. Mimi needs a quiet home where she can rest and get plenty of TLC in her final months or years. We do not know her exact age. When she arrived to us, we were told she is around 8, but our vet thinks that she is 10+. She appears to be forming cataracts on her eyes and we aren't sure how well she can hear. But, she is able to walk around, eat, drink and navigate herself from dog bed to dog bed. She is not able to jump onto furniture and shouldn't be allowed to try to jump down. She has been put into a pet stroller for a couple walks on really nice days and she seems to really enjoy that fresh air. She is able to be picked up easily and does not show signs of pain in her body.

Her groomer, Ready 2 Groom, did an amazing job cleaning her up after she arrived to us. Despite how matted she was, they were able to get her hair cut without shaving her completely and she looks absolutely amazing. Her hair is beginning to grow back beautifully. Her teeth aren't wonderful but we wouldn't recommend having a dental done on her because we are scared of her going under anesthesia at her age. She also is not spayed and is too old to have it done at this point.

She is up to date on her vaccinations and has a health certificate that will be provided with her adoption. She is currently being fostered in Kenosha. Only homes with a quiet lifestyle will be considered for her. She is good around other dogs but we would like to see her as an only dog or with a low energy, gentle dog to spend her time with. She is totally fine with cats.

Kobe | 12 weeks old | Male

Kobe is one of the most adorable puppies on the planet! There are some dogs who come into your life, and you just know that they are so special and that they are going to make their family so incredibly happy. Kobe is 1000% going to be someone's heart dog and we cannot wait to find out who that lucky person is going to be. As far as breed goes, we have been told that he is a Lab/Springer Spaniel Mix.

Kobe loves playing with other dogs and puppies, he has a very good puppy energy level and when he's sleepy, he loves to snuggle up in your lap to cuddle. At night, Kobe sleeps really well through the night, in his kennel. He takes about 5 minutes to settle down and then he is out for the night. He is learning how to walk nicely on the leash and he is working on basic in home obedience training. He really enjoys playing with bones and stuffed toys.

Jet | 13 weeks old | Male

This big boy is Jet! He is a loving, curious dog! He is an extremely good listener, and we think he will be a breeze to train. As far as breed goes, we aren't very sure.. but at 30 pounds currently, we are pretty confident that he will be a large dog once he is done growing. Jet enjoys playing with other dogs and never turns down a bone to chew on.

Jet is currently working on potty training, but he is fully kennel trained ... in fact, he already can sleep through the night in his kennel quietly and mess free. Jet had a really rough start to life, and we can't wait to find him the home that he is meant to be in.

So there are dogs, and then there are "Emmett's". Emmett is just one of those dogs who can look straight into your soul and tell you that life will be ok as long as you are together.
