Creek is the definition of a snuggle puppy. If there’s a group of puppies playing, napping, or creating the world’s coziest cuddle puddle, you can almost guarantee Creek is right where she loves to be — curled up tight, soaking in the warmth, usually at the very bottom of the puppy pile. She has already perfected the art of being a professional cuddler and is happiest when she’s surrounded by love.

One of the first things you’ll notice about Creek is her absolutely adorable markings. She has a unique dark patch over her eye and ear that gives her the cutest “half-mask” look, like she’s always ready for a little mischief — even though she’s truly just a gentle, affectionate little sweetheart. Her beautiful coloring and expressive face make her impossible to forget.

Creek has been well socialized in her foster home and does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children. Rusty is a one-year-old sweetheart with a big personality, an athletic build, and a story that will stay with you. He’s affectionate, smart, and full of life — the kind of dog who brings energy, laughter, and loyalty into a home.

As far as breed goes, we don’t have a DNA test and Rusty isn’t offering up any family records, so we asked the all-knowing AI system. Based on his big upright ears, striking coloring, athletic build, and those famously Husky-coded “I’m judging you” eyes, the best guess is that Rusty is a Husky mix, possibly combined with Shepherd or Australian Kelpie. Whatever the mix may be, one thing is certain: Rusty is 100% good dog.

Rusty is fully housebroken and has excellent manners in the home. He does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys social play, but we are seeking a cat-free home, as he has a strong interest in chasing them. He is good with kids, though we recommend older children who can match his energetic, playful style.

He is kennel trained and does well on leash. While Rusty uses his crate when his foster parent is away at work, he has proven himself to be very trustworthy and currently free roams at night, usually sleeping peacefully on the couch like he owns the place.

As his breed guesses suggest, Rusty has a high energy level and would thrive with an active family. He loves being outdoors, adores the snow, and takes his toy collection very seriously — especially balls. Rusty will happily chase a ball again and again… and again… and again. (We’re still working on the “drop it” part.)

Rusty is affectionate, loves to snuggle, and is highly motivated by food and treats, which makes him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. He is intelligent, engaged, and very ready to keep growing into the best version of himself.

Rusty’s journey
Before coming into foster care, Rusty spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. Prior to that, he was found wandering in a cemetery, where he remained for about a week before a kind woman brought him to safety. We don’t know if the cemetery held meaning from his past or if it was simply a place where he felt comfort — but that chapter of his story deeply touched our hearts.

From surviving on his own… to the safety of a shelter… to the warmth of a foster home — Rusty has come so far. Now, he’s ready for the final chapter of his story: a forever home where he will be loved, chosen, and never left behind again.
